Paul Eeles was elected as the Chair of the Federation of Awarding Bodies on 20 October 2016, prior to which he was a Director of the Federation since co-option in September 2013 and election in October 2014.

Paul has 30 years experience in the post 16 skills sector, including seven years as a lecturer and 13 years managing work based learning with colleges and independent providers. He has been leading membership bodies across the FE & Skills Sector for 17 years. In addition to chairing FAB, he is the Chief Executive of the Skills and Education Group.

Paul holds a Degree in Business Management, jointly from The University of Central England and The Birmingham College of Food, a Post Graduate Diploma in Training Management from the University of Wolverhampton and a Masters in Personnel and Development from the University of Plymouth.
