Mike is the Director of Apprenticeships and Employer Engagement at Exeter College. He’s been in post for 6 years and during that time apprenticeships have more than doubled. We now have 1700 apprentices in learning at any one time and the college business network extends to over 950 businesses. Whilst the majority are in the south-west we also support the entire GWR network from Penzance to Paddington. Exeter College have won multiple awards for our apprenticeship programmes and Mike is exceptionally proud of the entire apprenticeship team at Exeter College for the amazing work they do. Quality is at the forefront of provision and we have a  3-year success rate of 80%. He is the chair of the Devon and Cornwall training provider network and Director of Exeter Chamber of Commerce. He has been shortlisted in this year’s TES Awards for ‘FE Leader of the year’.
